Who are we?
ABOUT INTERFAITH COALITION OF BOWIE
We are an organization that encourages dialogue, acceptance and cooperation through the celebration of our communities diverse faith traditions. Interfaith Coalition of Bowie is a direct response to the 2020 dual crises of social injustice and a global pandemic offset by the COVID-19 virus. United through prayer and action, we rally to ignite change; confronting and disarming the various systems that bring continued harm to members of the black and brown communities.
Working Together Through Common Goals
-
Social Justice
We work under the understanding that regardless of one’s faith, racial or socioeconomic background that we all are deserving of equal rights. Here at ICB we prioritize minority members because they are of the greatest need.
-
Acceptance
Living in such a diverse world, it is important that we create a safe environment that breeds love, kindness and acceptance; allowing for one to be their whole and complete selves.
-
Community
Creating an environment where “Love Thy Neighbor” moves from words we speak to an action and value system that we all choose to live by, daily.
